My story is one of transformation
Turning adversity into wisdom, survival into strength.
For most of my life, I was in survival mode. Keep going. Push through. Don't stop long enough to feel. In my late 30s, I finally stopped running and started reclaiming what was mine. That shift, from enduring to evolving, became my purpose: to plant seeds of knowledge so that others flourish in their journey to become the best version of themselves.
I'm often asked why I chose New Orleans. Truth is, it chose me. After 20 years of feeling its pull, I finally understood why. The live oaks here have roots intertwined beneath the surface and trunks that spiral to bend without breaking. They taught me what I needed to know about resilience. We are stronger when we stand together. Healing isn't meant to be done alone.
OakRoot HX is rooted in this city that understands resilience, reinvention, and belonging. And while my work began with women navigating what I've survived, I've learned that post-trauma wisdom translates beyond personal transformation. It shapes how leaders show up and how organizations evolve.
